The U.S. Commerce Department issued a final ruling Thursday saying cold-rolled steel products from five countries, including Japan, are being dumped on the U.S. market.

If the U.S. International Trade Commission concludes in August the imports are hurting the U.S. steel industry, steel manufacturers from the five countries will face antidumping duties corresponding to the dumping margins set by the Commerce Department.

The department set dumping margins of 115.22 percent for both Nippon Steel Corp. and Kawasaki Steel Corp., and 112.56 percent for other Japanese makers.

The four remaining countries singled out in the final ruling are Australia, India, Sweden and Thailand.
