The German Embassy in Tokyo launched a Web site Wednesday that offers news about the country in Japanese accessible by those with Internet-capable mobile phones.

The service, which was launched to coincide with the anniversary of German reunification in 1990, will offer information about the country, its embassy in Japan and the euro’s exchange rate.
