China Northwest Airlines launched regular flights Wednesday between Sapporo and Shanghai.

The Chinese airline is to operate two round-trip flights each week on Wednesdays and Sundays, using a 156-seat Airbus A-320, company officials said.

The flights take roughly 31/2 hours, they said.
