Two men snatched a shoulder bag containing 3.3 million yen in cash Sunday night from an Indonesian woman in Shizuoka Prefecture, police said Monday.

According to police investigations, the 46-year-old woman, who declined to be identified, was attacked by the two men while returning to her apartment in Hamamatsu together with an Indonesian couple.

The attackers, both around 25 years old, spoke Indonesian, the police quoted the three Indonesians as saying.

Also in the bag were the passports of the Indonesian woman and her husband, according to the police. The money consisted of roughly 2 million yen along with $11,000.
