KAWASAKI — The foreign residents panel of Kawasaki will hold an open forum Sunday for foreign and Japanese residents.
As an advisory body to the mayor, the panel hopes to hear a wide range of opinions and ideas on improving the living condition of foreign nationals in the city, panel officials said.
The panel, comprised of 26 foreign residents from 17 countries, was set up in 1996 and has since discussed such topics as education and housing for foreign residents.
Sunday’s gathering will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at Takatsu Civic Hall near Mizonoguchi Station on the Tokyu Den-en Toshi Line and Musashi-Mizonokuchi Station on the JR Nanbu Line. Translation and nursing services will be available at the event. For more information, call the Human Rights and Multiculturalism section of the Kawasaki City Office at (044) 200-2316.
