'Superfoods' highlight summer menu

This summer, the Conrad Tokyo offers guests a luxurious option for self-healing. The hotel features menus using "superfoods" such as cumin, turmeric, wolfberry, chia seed and coconut milk powder at all its restaurants and bars between July 1 and Aug. 31.

The stylish TwentyEight bar and lounge on the 28th floor offers a contemporary "Afternoon Tea" plate, featuring eclairs filled with 125 percent high-cacao chocolate and cacao nibs, as well as scones and cakes containing a variety of superfoods.

At Collage and China Blue, the healthy ingredients will be used in modern French and Chinese dishes during the period. Additionally, at the Kazahana Japanese restaurant, dishes made with miso and buckwheat will be served for both lunch and dinner.

Paris trip offers exclusive experience

The Mandarin Oriental, Paris offering an accommodation package that includes a gourmet breakfast and a special invitation to visit locales recommended by the hotel's executive chef.

Celebrating summer with chic soiree

The French Kitchen restaurant at Grand Hyatt Tokyo is organizing a series of luxurious French summer dinners, dubbed "Soiree Blanche 2016," on Saturdays through Aug. 27.

For the event, which literally means white night in French, Grand Hyatt Tokyo will adorn The French Kitchen's airy terrace and bar with white decorations, while the dress code for guests is also all white.

Priced at ¥11,000, the dinner will be served in the main dining area from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 9, 16, 23, 30 and Aug. 6, 13 and 27, with more dates possibly announced during the summer.

Guests can enjoy three hours of free-flowing beverages, including red, white and rose wines, spirits, two kinds of Champagne — Pommery Royal Blue Sky and Pommery Summertime Blanc de Blancs — and soft drinks.

The food includes canapes, served on the terrace, with amuse bouche, appetizers, barbecued main and homemade ice cream served in the main dining area.
