Getting a taste of design, fashion

This October, the 29th Tokyo Designers Week and the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo will light up the city. In collaboration with kimono designer Jotaro Saito, the Palace Hotel Tokyo, located in the middle of Tokyo’s Marunouchi district and next to the Imperial Palace, will introduce a special afternoon tea plan called Fashion Afternoon Tea, from Oct. 4 to 26.

As one of the Japanese hotels aiming to introduce Japanese culture to the world while maintaining tradition and pursuing new value, the hotel has collaborated with Saito, a high-fashion kimono designer in the world and a fashion week exhibitor.

In the hotel’s popular afternoon tea set, customers can enjoy some stylish desserts based on Saito’s works and patterns, including a mini Mont Blanc wrapped with a chocolate crepe designed to look like kimono and a roll cake that looks like a bolt of cloth.

The afternoon tea set is available for ¥3,900 per person, or ¥5,600 with a glass of champagne, including tax, but subject to a service charge.

The Palace Hotel Tokyo is directly connected to Otemachi Station (various lines) or eight minutes from Tokyo Station. For more information or reservations, call 03-3211-5309 or visit www.palacehoteltokyo.com .
