The Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo Seafort in Shinagawa Ward is offering accommodation plans that include a Tokyo Bay cruise.
The plans consist of a one-night stay in a twin, double, triple or four-person room, breakfast and a cruise on Tokyo Bay, passing such spots as Daiba, Pallet Town and Rainbow Bridge. Situated by the water in Seafort Square, the hotel also offers night views of Tokyo Bay.
There are lunch-, dinner- and night-cruise plans.
The dinner cruise, with a French course meal and welcome drink, departs at 6:30 p.m. from a pier five minutes from the hotel, and it finishes around 9 p.m. Prices start from ¥48,000 per twin/double room, ¥66,000 per triple room and ¥82,000 for a four-person room. The 100-minute lunch-cruise and 60-minute night-cruise plans start from ¥34,000 per room and ¥28,000 per room, respectively. The lunch cruise includes a French course meal and welcome drink, and the night cruise includes free drinks.

Setting the ‘Table of Flore’
La Tour d’Argent French restaurant at the Hotel New Otani in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo is preparing “Table of Flore,” its annual culinary extravaganza held during the Golden Week holidays, from April 29 to May 6.
Renowned interior designer Aki Akishino and flower artist Jun Iwai will create elegant table settings filled with flowers and using some of Europe’s premier tableware for special lunches, afternoon tea and dinners. Participating tableware brands are Christofle, Gien, Nachtmann, Lalique, Riedel and Bernardaud.
There are two lunch courses (¥9,000 and ¥16,000) and a dinner course (¥20,000). Afternoon tea is available from May 2 to 6 and costs ¥3,800. Prices are exclusive of service charge. Lunch starts from midday, afternoon tea is between 2 p.m. and4 p.m., and dinner from 5:30 p.m.

A Caffe by any other name
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo has recently opened a restaurant serving meals all day on the lobby floor as the last stage of an extensive renovation conducted in line with the hotel’s rebranding in 2007 from the Century Hyatt to the Hyatt Regency.
The Italian-style restaurant, named the Caffe, and which looks out onto the greenery of Shinjuku Chuo Park, serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
In the open kitchen, chefs work at a rotisserie and plancha (hot-plate grill), cooking pork, chicken and beef, while pastry chefs put the finishing touches on Italian desserts, crepes, galettes and more. While the atmosphere is lively and bustling around the open kitchen, there are also sofa seats that provide a quieter, more relaxing setting.
Using herbs and spices that maximize the flavors of each ingredient, the restaurant offers simple but appetizing food, as well as classic Italian pizzas, pasta, osso buco (braised veal shanks) and Italian-style bouillabaisse.
Drinks include 23 kinds of Italian and other wines, and cocktails using gelato and granita.
The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to midnight. Besides a la carte selections, there are course and buffet menus such as a breakfast buffet (6 a.m.-10:30 a.m., ¥ 3,300), lunch sets (11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., from ¥1,800) and dinner sets (5:30 p.m.-9 p.m., from ¥3,500), and lunch and dinner buffets are available at weekends and holidays.
