Director: Hirokazu Koreeda

Language: Japanese (subtitled in English)

On May 27, Arrow Films of the U.K. is releasing a DVD and Blu-ray of Hirokazu Koreeda’s offbeat family drama “Kiseki (I Wish).” Two brothers who have been separated by their parents’ divorce conspire to bring about a “miracle” that will reunite Mom and Dad. Like Koreeda’s other films centering on children, “I Wish” is free of sentimentality, while its two leads — real-life brothers — behave in naturally kidlike ways, from the funnily vengeful to the hearteningly resilient.

In line with COVID-19 guidelines, the government is strongly requesting that residents and visitors exercise caution if they choose to visit bars, restaurants, music venues and other public spaces.
