Ticket giveaway: ‘Devil’s Double’

The Japan Times has 15 pairs of tickets to give away free to readers for an exclusive prerelease screening of “Devil’s Double” on Jan. 6 at a central Tokyo location.

“Devil’s Double” is based on the true story of Latif Yahia, who claims to have been a body double for Saddam Hussein’s sadistic eldest son, Uday. Though he lives in luxury between jobs for Uday, Latif witnesses firsthand the darkest horrors of Saddam’s Iraq — and must decide where his loyalties lie.

This dark but sharp-witted, action-packed film opens in Japan on Jan. 13; dialogue is in English with Japanese subtitles. The Japan Times will run an interview with the real-life Yahia in January.

For a chance to win tickets to the special screening, send a postcard stating your name, address, telephone number, age, a comment on The Japan Times’ film section and the title of the film to: Gakugei-bu, The Japan Times, 4-5-4 Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo 108-8071. Or enter online at jtimes.jp/devil.

The deadline is Dec. 27. For more information, call (03) 3452-3599.
