The Ossu! Shugeibu arts club was founded by artist Shoichi Ishizawa to promote the belief that creativity should be spontaneous and not governed by rules. The seven members of The Ossu! Shugeibu, who are handicrafts people with no training, are showing their work in an event space designed by Hideki Toyoshima, who also believes in the freedom of creativity, and whose work involves design, art, music and event production.

According to Ishizawa, the "untrained hand is beautiful" and it encourages freedom of design through its childlike simplicity. Toyoshima creates events inspired by the relationship between objects he sees and people he meets and places he goes to. For this exhibition, Toyoshima has created a space for The Ossu! Shugeibu to present their humorous ideas on monozukuri (making things); till March 20.
