Fukushi sets goal for final of 5,000m

Norway captures 4x10 gold
Anchor Petter Northug battled from behind in a brilliant display of power to give Norway to its fourth consecutive title in the men's 4×10-km cross country relay Friday. Norway clocked a time of 1 hour, 30 minutes, 49.2 seconds, pipping Russia to gold by 3.2 seconds. Sweden claimed bronze, 3.5 behind Norway.

Team USA hanging in after Mexican rolls over Canada
The danger is nearly over for Team USA. By the toss of the dice, the Americans are still alive in the World Baseball Classic. Most of the players, coaches and reporters alike were still trying to work out the confusing tournament tiebreaker rules for eliminating teams at the Classic that seem more in the line with doing long division.

Oh gives thumbs up to American pitching at WBC
Japan manager Sadaharu Oh is impressed with the control of pitchers from Team USA after watching the Americans dominate Mexico in the first round of the World Baseball Classic on Tuesday. "The American team likes to increase their pitchers' count gradually. They showed a lot of control on the mound. (Jake) Peavy made about 30 pitches but they'll gradually let him and other starters pitch more," Oh said.
