NEWS DESK EDITOR
The Japan Times is seeking a news editor for the company’s News Desk. The successful candidate will have a strong journalism background and experience in editing news stories.
The candidate should be able to work with speed, accuracy and under pressure with a team of editors and reporters to help craft superior stories that surpass those of our competitors. Excellent story-selection skills are a necessity. A strong interest in and/or knowledge of the Japanese story is an advantage. Japanese-language skills are a plus.
