Police have arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of being the ringleader of a scam aimed at fraudulently claiming government subsidies for small businesses struggling under the COVID-19 pandemic.
Daiki Matsue, whose address and occupation are unknown, was arrested at Narita Airport in Chiba Prefecture on Monday over his alleged involvement in the scheme after he flew back from Dubai.
