Industry minister Toshimitsu Motegi said Monday that he welcomed progress between Japanese and Myanmar companies on the development of an industrial complex in the suburbs of Yangon and offered continued cooperation in the project.
At the outset of a meeting in Tokyo with visiting Thura Shwe Mann, the speaker of Myanmar’s Lower House, Motegi said, “I am very pleased that the project is making smooth progress toward its inauguration in 2015. We are eager to work in close cooperation on the issue.”
