Major furniture retailer Otsuka Kagu Ltd. said Tuesday it will raise the prices of 4,500 pieces of imported furniture from mid-April due to the yen's weakness against other major currencies.
It will be the first time the furniture retailer has carried out a major price hike since 2007, when the yen fell against the euro.
