A ceremony was held Friday to mark the completion of Tokyo Sky Tree, presently the world’s tallest free-standing tower, which will be opened to the public on May 22.

About 70 people, including construction workers and Michiaki Suzuki, president of Tobu Tower Sky Tree Co., which operates the 634-meter tower, attended the ceremony two days after the construction work that started in July 2008 finished.
