OSAKA (Kyodo) Police and financial authorities expect to search locations related to a speculative trading group this week in connection with alleged manipulation of Union Holdings Co. stock prices in 2007.

The Osaka Prefectural Police and the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission suspect that seven or eight stock-trading speculators conspired to place a large volume of buy and sell orders at the same time for shares of the Tokyo-based holding company in April 2007 to make trading in the stock look active, sources said Monday.
