Chubu Electric Power Co. restarted a reactor at its Hamaoka nuclear plant in Shizuoka Prefecture after taking it offline Sunday to replace a malfunctioning water valve at one of the low-pressure heaters.
The Nagoya-based utility resumed operations at the 1,137-megawatt No. 4 reactor at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, it said on its Web site.
