Households with preschool children in Suginami Ward, Tokyo, are receiving child-raising support tickets that can be used for a wide variety of services, including events for families and consultations about child-raising.
The purpose of the measure is to give parents opportunities to get out of the home with their children and to help residents regenerate the community, ward officials said.
Suginami's tickets are unique because they can be used for a wide range of services provided by individuals, as well as public and private entities.
