SENDAI (Kyodo) The Sendai High Court dismissed Monday a citizens’ group’s demand that Miyagi Prefecture Police officers reimburse prefectural coffers for expenses for official trips paid for with taxpayers’ money but which may not have actually been made.

The high court overturned a ruling in July by the Sendai District Court that four officers linked with such expenses pay 600,000 yen to the prefectural government after concluding some of the trips never took place.
