KUMAMOTO – The Kumamoto District Court on Thursday ordered a man to pay 46 million yen to the parents of his girlfriend, who fell to her death from their sixth-floor condominium in 2002 after he beat her and threatened her with a knife.
The couple had moved into the condominium in the city of Kumamoto in April 2002. The man began beating her in May, and she fell to her death on June 11 that year.
