A 15-year-old junior high school girl in the city of Shizuoka was served a fresh arrest warrant Tuesday on suspicion of blackmailing a 47-year-old man out of 5.5 million yen, police said.
According to Shizuoka Prefectural Police, the man had been having sex with minors, and the suspect, who was not identified due to her age, approached him, accused him of impregnating one of her classmates and threatened to tell police.
She collected 5.5 million yen from the man, a company employee, on six occasions between this past June and November, investigators said. They added that when the man ran out of money to pay her, she took him around to several consumer loan firms and made him borrow cash.
The man will be questioned on suspicion of violating laws banning the purchase of sex with minors, police said.
