A 15-year-old junior high school girl in the city of Shizuoka was served a fresh arrest warrant Tuesday on suspicion of blackmailing a 47-year-old man out of 5.5 million yen, police said.

According to Shizuoka Prefectural Police, the man had been having sex with minors, and the suspect, who was not identified due to her age, approached him, accused him of impregnating one of her classmates and threatened to tell police.

She collected 5.5 million yen from the man, a company employee, on six occasions between this past June and November, investigators said. They added that when the man ran out of money to pay her, she took him around to several consumer loan firms and made him borrow cash.

The man will be questioned on suspicion of violating laws banning the purchase of sex with minors, police said.

An investigation determined that the man happened to meet a 14-year-old junior high school girl on a Shizuoka street in May and became acquainted with the suspect through this girl, as they attended the same school.

He had engaged in obscene acts with the two girls on several occasions, giving them 40,000 yen each time, police said.

Although the 14-year-old girl is indeed pregnant, police said they suspect that the man who was blackmailed is not the father.

The suspect extorted 3.5 million yen from the man in June, and in November she had a 23-year-old male acquaintance drive her and the man to four or five consumer loan firms and had him borrow 2 million yen through their loan-dispensing machines, police said.

The girl used the money she extorted on personal spending and also gave some to over 10 of her friends, according to police.

She was first arrested on Nov. 30 for allegedly extorting some 500,000 yen from a 37-year-old man she met through a telephone dating service using similar means and has been placed in a facility for juvenile delinquents.
