Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine indicated Friday he will run for a second term in November.

Speaking at his regularly scheduled news conference, Inamine said he has sowed 95 percent of the seeds of the campaign promises he made four year ago. "I want to make the promises blossom and I don't want to see them replaced," he said.

Inamine is expected to formally announce sometime in August that he will seek re-election. However, he is under pressure from supporters and prefectural assembly members in the ruling bloc to do so earlier.

Inamine's supporters plan to launch a campaign support body by early August.
