Police conducted 22 searches nationwide Monday over suspected violations of the Public Offices Election Law in connection with campaigns for Sunday’s House of Councilors poll, the National Police Agency said Tuesday.
Prefectural police nationwide will question some 900 people in about 100 cases, the NPA said. Police have arrested 18 people on suspicion of violating the law.
