“Premium’ New Year’s buffet in Osaka

The Hotel Hankyu International in Osaka will offer a “Premium” New Year’s buffet on Jan. 1 and 2 at the hotel’s biggest banquet hall, Shion, on the fourth floor.

Not only is the venue premium but dishes served will be first class and there will be special gifts. The banquet hall was renovated in September, and is capable of hosting 1,000 people for a standing-room party. Live music performances will be held, which guests can relax to in the gorgeous hall while enjoying luxurious dishes from the hotel’s Night & Day restaurant.

A bingo event will be held and winners can receive special prizes, such as accommodation vouchers for the hotel’s suite.

Also, during those two days, an amusement event will be held, which customers can join for free.

The buffet will be held on Jan. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Jan. 2 it will be held from noon to 2 p.m. as well as from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each session costs ¥7,500 per person, including tax and a service charge. There are discounts for children.

Royal Park Hotel countdown party

The Royal Park Hotel in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo will hold its annual dinner and New Year’s countdown party on New Year’s Eve.

After enjoying a light dinner starting from 10 p.m., guests can dance in the Royal Hall on the third floor of the hotel. R&B and disco classics from the 1960s to ’80s will be performed by the oldies cover band Scar Face Project, with DJ Inaba, and professional dancers will also take the stage.

Guests can party past midnight, to bid farewell to 2012 and welcome in the New Year in what promises to be a festive atmosphere with powerful live performances of good old tunes. The party will run from 10:45 p.m. through 12:30 a.m. and costs ¥12,000 per person, including the meals, drinks, tax and a service charge.

Westin Tokyo Champagne dinner

On Jan. 25, 2013, the Westin Tokyo in Yebisu Garden Place will hold a special dinner party featuring Taittinger brand Champagne from the hotel’s European continental restaurant, Victor’s.

Taittinger is one of the famed wine families who are famous producers of Champagne in Reims, France.

For the dinner party, customers will be served each of five kinds of Taittinger Champagne: Prestige Rose, Brut Reserve, Prelude Grands Crus, Nocturne and Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2002.

Customers can enjoy exquisite dishes that have been perfectly paired with the Champagnes and prepared by Toyoki Furuya, the chief chef at Victor’s. The restaurant itself is on the 22nd floor and has splendid night views of Tokyo.

The dinner is available at ¥15,500 per person. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner starts from 7 p.m.
