The biggest event of its kind in Asia, Design Festa vol. 25 takes place May 26-27 (11 a.m.-7 p.m) in Tokyo. Thirty-two countries will be represented, including India, Romania and Uganda.

Six thousand artists working in a variety of mediums will occupy 2,600 booths. The indoor stage, for example, will be the location for fashion shows, contemporary dance and even capoeira — the African-Brazilian dance/martial art that was created by enslaved Africans in the 16th century.

Design Festa vol. 25 takes place at Tokyo Big Sight's West Hall in Odaiba. On-the-day tickets cost 1,000 yen and 1,800 yen. For more details, go to www.designfesta.com
