Chugoku Electric delays restart of nuclear reactor at Shimane plant
The No. 2 unit will be the first boiling-water reactor to be restarted in Japan since the 2011 accident at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant.

Noto quake exceeded projections of nuclear plant operator
The quake caused a transformer for the No. 1 reactor and another for the No. 2 reactor to stop functioning due to issues that included oil leakage.
According to Hokuriku Electric Power, the quake measured an upper 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale at the basement of the No. 1 reactor building of its Shika nuclear power plant in Ishikawa Prefecture.
