All applicants will get Suica cards marking 100th year of Tokyo Station, JR East says
East Japan Railway Co. said Monday it will print more Suica train fare cards commemorating the 100th anniversary of the opening of Tokyo Station following an overwhelming response to initial sales over the weekend.

Where's a New Yorker to find a decent slice in Tokyo?
I heard a rumor that there was a New York-style pizza shop in Tokyo Station that was importing water from New York City. That's how hard they were trying to make their pizza taste authentic. This was exciting news: New York-style pizza, served by the slice with long trails of gooey mozzarella (and maybe a dash of parmesan or red pepper) is pretty much nonexistent in Japan.

'Shohachi Kimura'
Shohachi Kimura (1893-1958) developed an early interest in foreign novels and other facets of Western culture. He first aspired to become a writer, but changed his mind at age 18 to pursue art and painting. Still interested in literature, however, he often contributed illustrations to novels.
