The Aisin SeaHorses took advantage of their deep roster and had five players scoring in double digits in a 84-74 win over the Hitachi Sunrockers at Ota City Gymnasium on Sunday.

The SeaHorses, a Western Conference club, swept a two-game series against Hitachi and improved to 30-4 for the season, which is the best record in the NBL.

Aisin's rookie guard Makoto Hiejima led the team with 20 points, followed by Kosuke Kanamaru and Shinsuke Kashiwagi, both of whom racked up 16 points.

"I think we played our brand of ball, which is play defense first and then convert it for our offense, in these two days," said Kashiwagi, the veteran starting point guard for the SeaHorses. "So I'm pleased about how we played."

For the Sunrockers (10-24), Darius Rice had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Joji Takeuchi also notched a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards.
