Mac Hopson scored 24 points and Mike Bell added 16 in the Sendai 89ers' 72-60 road win over the Takamatsu Five Arrows in the bj-league on Friday.
Chris Holm grabbed 15 rebounds and Kenichi Takahashi added nine points as Sendai improved to 18-11.
For Takamatsu (8-23), veteran forward Kirby Lemons, who has also played for the bj-league's Toyama Grouses and Saitama Broncos, had 13 points and 13 rebounds in his first game with the club, Shuichi Takeda scored 11 and Jeffrey Price and Rasheed Sparks each had 10.
