Yokohama will get the services of Cafu, veteran of three World Cups, from July 1 on a six-month contract. The J. League first stage will begin March 21 but will have a break between May 25 and July 4 due to national team activities.

Cafu, formerly of Sao Paulo FC, Real Zaragoza and Palmeiras, has played for Brazil in 115 games and served as captain in this past World Cup, helping the South American powerhouse win the tournament for a record fifth time.
