Regarding the Feb. 24 front-page article “Search ends for trapped Japanese“: I would just like to offer our sincere condolences to the friends and families of those Japanese students who have passed away in the Christchurch earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I also want to thank Japan on behalf of our people for its help with its specialist team who is working with ours and those of other countries to search for people and recover those who have tragically lost their lives. We know it is not just New Zealanders who have suffered and perished, but also our friends from Japan and many other countries.
God bless you all and thank you again for your friendship.
