Regarding the Dec. 25 editorial "Preventing child pornography": The editorial contained nothing related to "preventing" child pornography. A review of existing laws and potential external condemnation does a disservice to readers when such an enticing headline is used.

I was expecting to read about how the Japanese anime culture encourages child pornography and the printed material in every convenience store of seductive and sexualized schoolgirls, or the blowup child sex dolls available at the specialty store around the corner.

How about writing the real article about child pornography prevention and how the current Japanese culture not only allows it but embraces it. Until that changes, nothing will change.
