President Barack Obama began his Martha’s Vineyard vacation in traditional style Sunday, wasting no time in hitting the golf course.

Obama is due to return to Washington next Sunday, and no public events are planned during his vacation with his family. Aides stressed that he will continue to receive daily updates from National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Deputy Chief of Staff Rob Nabors, both of whom are on the island.
