Kozo Keikaku Engineering (KKE), an engineering design firm established in 1959, has announced an agreement with IHS of Colorado, a leading source for information, insight and analytics in critical areas of the business landscape, such as energy, economics, geopolitical risk, sustainability and supply chain management. KKE hopes to meet increasing demand among Japanese businesses for information solutions that help manage operational risks and drive cohesive strategies for enterprise sustainability management (ESM).

The two have worked for many years to help companies in this region recognize potential risks and prevent them from impacting critical business operations. This agreement enables them to expand that relationship so customers can further strengthen their risk management capabilities.

KKE and IHS experts see many organizations attempting to standardize the ways that they identify, analyze, mitigate and monitor operational risks as well as quickly and accurately understanding their risk profiles. At the same time, many companies are also trying to develop comprehensive strategies to promote sustainable growth throughout their product design and materials planning, manufacturing and operations, resource consumption and daily work processes.

Fashionable activewear

Goldwin Inc., a major manufacturer of high-quality sportswear and equipment, has released a new color for its Active Layer series of female exercise wear, through its Danskin brand.

The Active Layer series is designed to let wearers feel comfortable during exercise as it has many practical functions, such as quickly wicking perspiration away to filtering out ultraviolet rays. The fabric is designed to support the muscles by keeping key areas firm.

Also, it offers many color variations for female wearers to choose from. From the beginning of August, four new color schemes (black, cyan, oyster grey and paprika) have been available called “candy-dot” prints.

The items featuring the new design are Active Layer’s bra (¥2,625), comfort bra (¥2,625), long sleeve shirt (¥5,145) and leggings (¥5,145). Prices include consumption tax.

The release of the new activewear is times with the waning of summer, when temperatures and humidity become more amenable to outdoor exercise regimes, such as jogging or cycling.
