Japan will provide 10 million yen worth of relief supplies, including tents and blankets, to Iran following a major quake there last week, government officials said Monday.
The goods will be supplied in response to an Iranian request made Sunday. Tehran said sending personnel is not necessary, according to the officials.
The quake, with a magnitude of 6.0, hit Lorestan Province in midwestern Iran on Friday with sizable casualties reported.
