Takeda Food Products Ltd. said Friday it has reached a business tieup agreement with an Indonesian firm on production and sales of its lemon-flavored carbonated beverage in the Southeast Asian country.
The Osaka-based subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. said it will offer technical cooperation to P.T. Djojonegoro C-1000, based in Jakarta, to sell the carbonated drink in Indonesia from December.
Djojonegoro aims to sell 40 million bottles of the YOU C1000 Vitamin Lemon beverage in the 2005 business year, Takeda Food said.
The Indonesian company was established in August last year as an affiliate of P.T. Asiasejahtera Perdana Pharmaceutical, a leading nutrition supplement drink seller in the country.
