South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki Moon will visit Japan early next month to discuss North Korea's nuclear weapons program and bilateral relations.

The Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that Ban, who was appointed to this post last month, will make a two-day visit to Japan beginning March 7. He will meet with Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi to discuss the outcome of a second round of six-way talks on resolving Pyongyang's nuclear threat that start Feb. 25.
