Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan Ltd. said Thursday its group net profit for the year to Nov. 30 fell 19.6 percent from the previous year to 1.11 billion yen.
The fast-food chain said its group operating profit slid 29.5 percent to 2.47 billion yen on group sales of 73.79 billion yen, down 8.4 percent.
Same-store sales slipped 10.5 percent on a monthly average in the latest reporting year, while the number of customers fell 8.8 percent.
The firm's chicken-related business saw sales decline 9.9 percent to 58.03 billion yen.
