NTT DoCoMo Inc. is considering lowering charges for calls made from fixed-line telephones to its mobile phones, the company’s president said Friday.
The major telecommunications firm charges 80 yen for a three-minute call from a conventional telephone to its mobile phones, while a call in the other direction is 70 yen.
“As our company is going to make a profit for the current business year (which ends March 31), we are planning to return part of it to users by lowering call rates and offering discounts,” Keiji Tachikawa told a news conference.
