A symposium on Asian environment and food issues will be held Oct. 18 in Yokohama to commemorate World Food Day.

Keynote speakers will be Ti Teow Choo, senior marketing and trade economist of Food and Agriculture Organization Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, and Dr. B.C.Y. Freezailah, executive director of International Tropical Timber Organization.

A panel discussion will follow with the two keynote speakers and Yoshie Yokokawa, the representative of Global People's Foundation "Earth Tree" as panelists. Katsuhiko Mohri, Ph.D., an associate professor of Yokohama City University, will coordinate the talk.
