Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills’ AO Spa and Club has launched a weekly morning “Rooftop Yoga” class, in corporation with Reebok Japan, on the 52nd floor open-air terrace, offering views of the city.

Focused on promoting greater mindfulness and well-being of the body and mind, yoga helps to relieve the body from fatigue and stress. Featuring highly trained certified instructors, various types of classes will be available, including restorative yoga and energizing yoga, and each class is customized to all experience levels.

The class will be offered on Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Rooftop Terrace of Andaz Tokyo. It costs ¥3,500 per class. A yoga mat, fitness towel and water will be provided. Maximum capacity is 35 people.

There are some plans in combination with the lesson such as the Rooftop Yoga & Breakfast plan, available for ¥9,000, which offers the morning buffet at Andaz Tavern that includes fresh vegetables, fruit, freshly squeezed juices as well as a glass of champagne after the yoga.

Prices include tax and service charges.

Using the very best of autumn ingredients

The Conrad Tokyo in the Shiodome area is celebrating the fall harvest season, and will hold a seasonal fair featuring mushrooms at each of the hotel’s restaurants.

At the hotel’s Japanese restaurant Kazahana, head chef Masanobu Inaba will present an exquisite dinner course from Sept. 20 to Nov. 3.

Under the concept of “tradition and innovation,” the restaurant’s exclusive dinner course “Yume Shizuku,” will be filled with autumn flavors. The chef’s specialty of a fried whole matsutake mushroom will offer an incredibly rich matsutake taste. Each course will be served with a matching wine. The dinner will be available for ¥20,000 per person.

Through October, the restaurant will offer unique autumn desserts for each course menu. Kazahana’s desserts are among the most popular with those in the know. With abundant autumn harvests such as sweet chestnuts, figs and persimmons, each dessert adds beautiful color to tables. During this period, each dessert is also be available a la carte from ¥1,300.

Prices include tax, but are subject to a service charge.

Best of Belgian beer

To enjoy the last of the lingering summer and welcome the beginning of autumn, the Tokyo Dome Hotel is holding a Belgian Beer fair at the hotel’s Artist’s Cafe, through September 30.

From 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. (L.O. 10 p.m.) customers can enjoy selected Belgian beers while viewing Tokyo from the 43rd floor of the hotel.

The restaurant will offer five kinds of beer: Hoegaarden White, Leffe Blonde, Leffe Brune, Stella Artois and Belle-Vue Kriek. In the evening, some a la carte items, including Neapolitan pizza and grilled sausages that complement the beer are also available.
