The Peninsula Tokyo is holding a summer promotion at each of its restaurants, offering special menus to maintain one's stamina during the hot season as well as a variety of cool desserts, through Aug. 31.

At The Peninsula Boutique and Cafe on the hotel's first basement floor, executive pastry chef Shigeru Nojima introduces a special dessert plate featuring homemade ice cream and sherbet.

The plate offers a range of desserts to help cool the body, such as a mini soft-serve ice cream, fruit cupcake, jelly, ice cream and sherbet of the day, and comes with coffee or tea.
