Dec. 1-Jan. 11

To commemorate the 20th year of Usamaru Furuya's career as an manga author, the Vanilla Gallery is holding what will be the artist's second exhibition of works in his lifetime.

Known for his cult horror series "Lychee Light Club," which has been adapted for a film to be released in February next year, Furuya was a pioneer of the sabukaru (subculture) underground comic genre, often using grotesque and erotic imagery, punctuated with dark but laughable humor. Original artworks, scripts, models and other documents will be on display.
