Using motion capture technique, this French animation depicts a futuristic, dystopian world in stark black and white. When a brilliant scientist for Avalon, a giant conglomerate, is kidnapped, detective Karas (voiced by Daniel Craig) is assigned to investigate. As Karas digs deeper into the missing person case with help from the scientist's sister, Bislane (Catherine McCormack), he uncovers a sinister conspiracy. Though the sci-fi story resembles the likes of "Minority Report" or "Blade Runner," the cinematography is striking and original.
