There are about a million things that influence typhoons. In every year there is something extreme in the weather. If you talk to old people on any continent, they say what's been happening in the last 10 years they've never seen before. There are things changing fast.

The typhoons aren't because of global warming. This year is not normal. The weather is strange all over the world, not because of industry, but the earth is getting warmer naturally.

I guess in general I would say yes. Japan probably shares more responsibility than people think. It's home to something like 40 or 60 percent of the world's incinerators. People think they're recycling, but they're not.

Absolutely. I know it's the same in North America, where they're experiencing more frequent hurricanes. I have no idea why, but certainly something is amiss because it's happening more frequently and more violently.

My opinion is based on what I've seen on the news, but I've also been reading a lot of books on history, religion and evolution lately. This year was supposed to be a bad year, but global warming also has something to do with it.

I'm guessing definitely there is climate change, but whether this year's typhoons are due solely to that I'm not so sure. Certainly the intensity could be due to global warming, but not the number.
