Faces of corporate leadership belie the myth that Asian Americans have avoided alienation
The Pew Center's recent report "The Rise of Asian Americans," which shows that Asians, not Latinos, comprise the largest group of immigrant arrivals in the United States, took many people by surprise. The data also show that Asian Americans have the highest education and per capita income.

Everyone's eyes are on Asia's rise. China, once dismissed as poor and backward, is now the world's second-largest economy. India, with its huge population, scientific prowess and entrepreneurial vitality, is another powerful engine of Asian growth.

New 'Tang' Dynasty for rapidly rising China?
PRAGUE — On Aug. 8 the world watched with awe the amazing spectacle of the Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing. We saw the electronic unrolling of Chinese scrolls replete with great historic symbols and were mesmerized by dancers creating "harmony," using their bodies as ink brushes. Two thousand eight martial arts students performed millenniums-old moves with mechanical precision, while the flying celestials and the galloping torchbearer created a sense of heavenly abode on Earth.
