Typhoon Chanthu makes landfall on Hokkaido
Typhoon Chanthu made landfall on the northernmost main island of Hokkaido on Wednesday afternoon after moving north off the Pacific coast of northeastern Japan, causing heavy rain and disrupting traffic in extensive areas, the weather agency said.
