Sony's Nobuyuki Idei and six others offered Keidanren roles
Seven business leaders, including Sony Corp. Chairman Nobuyuki Idei, 65, and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. President Norio Wada, 62, have been asked to become vice chairmen of the Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren), sources at the group said Tuesday.

Sony chairman wants yen to fall to 150-160 to dollar
Sony Corp. Chairman Nobuyuki Idei said Sunday he thinks the Japanese currency has been overvalued and he would not be surprised if the yen -- which trades at around 130 to the dollar now -- falls to the 150-160 range.

Idei says he got 10 'ILOVEYOU' e-mail messages
Sony Corp. President Nobuyuki Idei, whose company received close to 17,000 "ILOVEYOU" e-mail messages, said Friday in Hong Kong that he personally received about 10 of the virus-loaded missives.
